i have to make a model of DNA… anyone got some ideas on what items to use?

Love the idea but neva made one before. Im thinking that straws could work for the rungs so to speak or pipe cleaners as they are flexible. Why not look on google images if there are and hand made models of DNA.

I need to make a 3-D model of DNA by January. Anyone know how to make a model that will get me a good grade? ?
I need ideas that will help me make it. I am in 7 grade and i have never had a project that is for such a big part of my grade. If possible include details. Thanks for the people that actually help me!!!!!

All you have to do is get styrofoam spheres, wire hangers, wire cutters, spray paint and some “chaser” christmas lights.
Untwist the wire hangers to form straight lines, for each side of the “ladder” in the DNA structure twist two wire hangers together so you have some stability. Then, wrap the “chaser” christmas lights around the wire hanger. Do this for both sides but make sure the christmas lights are chasing in opposite directions. Then, paint the spheres 4 different colors to mock ATCG. Then, cut your other straightened wire hangers into pieces so you can use them for the “rungs” on the double helix. Then stab the spheres in the middle and attach them to the christmas light sides. You should have a visible ladder now. Then just twist it around so it looks more like the DNA structure.

USE A COLOR FOR THE SUGAR AND ANOTHER FOR THE PHOSPHATE
THE DRAWING SHOULD LOOK LIKE A TWISTED LADDER WHERE THE 4 NUCLEOTIDES MAKE UP THE RUNGS AND THE PHOSPHATE AND SUGAR MAKE UP THE RAILING

how to make a 3D DNA Model for biology?
I have to turn in a 3d model of DNA. And I have no clue how to make it or what to make it out of. I really need to get a good grade on this! HELP!

Cut four thick strips of construction paper, glue them together accordingly to make one pair
make them the helixes of the DNA model
then just use toothpicks and punch holes through the paper strips using the picks
paint the toothpicks accordingly
hope this helps =)
P.S. If it needs to be bigger just make the strips bigger and use toilet paper rolls instead of toothpicks, and as for the “twisted” part of the DNA the glue holds if you can manage to sumhow keep the strips in a twisted form for several hrs. Also, start w/ one helix of the DNA before attaching the other one
